Vintage Ovation Model 1619 Custom Legend acoustic-electric guitar, made in Connecticut, USA by Kaman Music Corporation (mid-1970s to early 1980s). Comes with a CMC backpack-style padded fabric case, but no guitar strap. The Good News: SOUNDS GORGEOUS! Plays and sounds beautiful - classic Ovation Custom Legend tone Neck feels solid and comfortable Needs Some TLC: Multiple cracks on the body (thin cracks from bridge area, some on upper bouts, see photos) Electronics not working (new 9V battery installed, pickups still not functioning) Frets show normal vintage wear but guitar plays fine This guitar still delivers that distinctive Ovation tone that made them famous. The Custom Legend series was known for premium craftsmanship. Priced to sell due to the cracks, but the tone and playability are all there! Price: $250 OBO - Cash only Location: Pioneer Square, Seattle. For $30 added charge, I can meet anywhere central (Capitol Hill, Belltown, SLU, etc.) for pickup.
