I bought an '07 Ford Taurus in July. During the test drive, I noticed it had a wheel bearing issue, but I went ahead with the purchase since it was only $2100. The car had significant physical damage on both sides, a broken tail light, and the left side view mirror was held on with duct tape and screws.

I bought the car "as is," as stated in the agreement I signed, not realizing it hadn't been inspected by a mechanic at all. I immediately fixed the wheel bearing issue because it was unsafe to drive. A week or two after buying the car, the battery and alternator went out. After fixing those, the oil pan gasket needed to be completely replaced. Then, I found out there was another issue with coolant leaking into the engine block. The water pump was out.

By October, I still hadn't received the title. My family and I had called numerous times and even visited the lot to try to get it, but we were always told there was a licensing issue. After months of this, my sister called and demanded to speak to the owner, threatening legal action. The owner then admitted that the car was actually an auction vehicle from Indiana, even though they had told us it came off Dixie Highway when we bought it. They had to take the car back for an inspection.

They gave us the car back after the inspection, but we still didn't get the title. We waited two weeks before my sister said that if we didn't have the title by Friday, we would return the car. They told us they would try to get the title, but there were liens from the previous owner, and they couldn't promise anything. We ended up returning the vehicle and got a refund of $2100. However, I didn't get any money back for the repairs I had done. I had put about 6000 into it. When I returned the vehicle, it needed a new axle reset in the front, and the ball joints were completely bad. And it did not have working heat or air conditioning. It was never a safe vehicle to drive at any point while I owned it. Also if they decide to relist this 07' Ford Taurus, I highly suggest you don't purchase this money pit with no title.

It's absolutely disgraceful how your dealership took advantage of a 19-year-old girl. Your actions are not only unethical but also downright dangerous. I trusted you to provide fair and honest service, and instead, you exploited my inexperience. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on your business. I hope you take immediate steps to make this right and ensure it never happens again.
