Treasure Island Gold Tone Gaming Token This is a vintage $1 gaming token / coin from Treasure Island Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. It’s in a gold tone / brass color and in very good condition.Most gaming tokens are a silver tone. Treasure Island tokens / coins are a gold tone or brass color which makes them stand out. They wanted to make their tokens gold tone to go with the Treasure Islqnd theme. This token is a rarity due to its gold tone brass color. They are still out there, but not many of them. People buy them and hold on to them. They are becoming more rare and harder to find at a cheap price. More and more collectors are hanging on to them because they are different from your silver tone gaming tokens / coins and they continue to go up in value. The token features a skull and cross-swords design, reflecting the pirate theme of the casino. The text around the edge reads "ONE DOLLAR GAMING TOKEN" and "LAS VEGAS, NEVADA". These tokens were used for slot machines within the casino. Casinos have largely replaced physical tokens with ticket-in, ticket-out systems. Which makes these collectible since they are no long being used or made. This is a great add for any collection. It’s enclosed in an acrylic capsule / case for protection.
