Description
Vintage 1950s Arnart 5th Ave. YOUNG FOLKS porcelain figurine #2623 made in Japan. This is a companion to the other YOUNG FOLKS figurine I also have listed. Arnart 5th Ave. imported customized products made in Japan via their USA office which was located on 5th Avenue in New York City… hence the name Arnart 5th Ave. It was In the 1950s that the company decided to offer a series of beautiful porcelain figurines to compete with the popular Hummels being produced by Goebel. To that end, they hired Erich Stauffer who designed most of their figurines… including this item. Very good condition with no cracks or chips. Beautiful colors with only minor paint loss as shown. YOUNG FOLKS label as shown. Measures about 4 7/8” high. See pics for more details.
