Overview: Up for sale is a fantastic woodblock print, "Matsuno Uchi (New Year's Day Season)" by modernist Japanese printer, Katsuyuki Nishijima. Nishijima's prints are instantly recognizable, generally focusing on traditional Japanese architectural designs and scenes, very much in the mold of Clifton Karhu. This is no exception, showing a traditional Japanese tea house. It is signed in pencil at lower right and titled (in Japanese) at lower center. Print is unframed, but matted. It is taped to the back of the matting. Should be removable if desired. Condition: The print is in very good condition. Only flaw is a small spot of foxing in the upper right margin. Matting is in very good condition. Measurements: Print measures approximately 13 inches wide by 10 inches high. Matting measures 16.25 inches wide x 13.5 inches high.
