Description
Had this dream to become the next Pete Seeger but it didn’t quite pan out like that. So I’m selling my long neck wabash banjo. It’s in good condition for its age. The tuners are a little rough but old tune. I’m not looking for any trades at the moment. Come with its original leather croc texture case. Here’s a little history on the long neck banjo. The long neck banjo was popularized by Pete Seeger in the mid-20th century as a way to play in lower keys, particularly E, while maintaining the open G tuning feel. Seeger had a luthier modify a standard 22-fret banjo by adding three frets to the neck, extending it and allowing for lower tunings. This innovation led to the Vega Company creating a standard long neck banjo model, the Vega Pete Seeger model, which became iconic during the folk revival era.
