This first edition Apple TV initially came with a 40 gig pin hard drive- I was planning on putting in a solid state hard drive, but never got around to it- and not going to realistically get it done ever… No hard drive included in this one- was an old pin hard drive, was going to upgrade but became too busy… the motherboard, video components and everything are supposed to be prefect for serving as a computer for use on the TV- I don’t know about the hacks and stuff- but these things supposedly have a lot of uses if the person is computer savvy- (not this guy) Given the hdmi output, Ethernet, usb, and component cable ports, this could serve as a great medium to connecting to the computer, or add your own hard drive (maybe a usb thumb drive even? - I don’t know - but there is a ribbon cable (last photo that connected to the old hard drive- if you have a. Alternate pin hard drive or an adaptor- please prove me right and make good use of this thing!
