Pre-owned. Some wear and tear to the covers, but mainly in great shape for a set of books that are older than 100. Overall, this volume set is in great shape. If you have any questions or would like additional pictures, please reach out. All the spines are sturdy and the pictures of the covers and backs of each book are in order from Volume 1 to Volume 8. Also, pages have minor discoloration due to time and natural moisture in the air. Again, feel free to ask for any additional pictures as I ran into Offerup's limit on pictures for this listing. I also have the original purchase receipt from April 24, 1900, for $1.75, and another receipt from someone who bought the set in the early 90s for $250. Very cool additions.
