Let the sun shine in; Signed Groovy Vintage John Wenzel Pottery Tile: I consider myself very lucky that over the years, I have found - or they found me - three pieces of John Wenzel Sun Pottery. Wenzel opened up his first art studio in Los Angeles in 1965 specializing in stoneware pottery. In the late 60s through the 1970s he did a series of stoneware suns which are very collectible among ceramic collectors as well as collectors of funky 70s decor. This 7.5” square tile is definitely characteristic of his work. There are a few minor chips and scrapes that have been concealed over that aren’t even that noticeable unless you are looking for “flaws” and if that’s your thing, feel free. I tend to look at flaws at part of the overall perfection of the piece. I did include a sold listing photo of the exact same piece that sold for $115 which isn’t counting the fees. I’m offering mine at a very reasonable $45. I doubt that you’re going to find another one anytime soon. I’ve been doing this for 25 years so that’s about one every eight years. No holds without a partial, non refundable deposit that will hold your item for ten straight days. No shipping unless you want to pay for everything involved in that shipping including a fee for my time. No deliveries unless it’s within my driving radius and yes, there will be a fee, as well.
