Description
Early 1960s Guardian Adjustable Bed Tray with Atomic Starburst Pattern: As far as Midcentury goes, this is iconic Midcentury; an adjustable bed tray with the ever popular Atomic Starburst pattern. Put out by Guardian Ware in the early 60s, it is made of metal, wood, and linoleum. There are some pin prick blemishes on the linoleum and the metal needs a good cleaning but all in all, this is extremely cool and definitely for that MCM collector. The tray is about 22” x 14” and stands at a height of 9”. It locks into eight different positions and as long as it’s not overburdened, it would make a unique display shelf. I did manage to find something similar online for $75 for one. I’m asking $45. Please do not ask me if “it’s available” and then ghost me because that sucks. What sucks even more are lousy offers. It does take time, effort, and a bit of skill rounding these things up. If you don’t want the unique, go to a chain store but if you do want genuine unique vintage, be thoughtful and courteous because more often than not, vintage dealers price their items lower than most chain stores. I’m just telling you this from a dealer’s perspective because I also understand the buyers perspective and what I’ve learned is that sometimes the price is the price. Message me for more information or read one of my other ads for all the ins and outs of the buying process.
