This is an extremely rare and Prime specimen of a Blonder-Tongue Audio Baton B-9 Tube EQThis is an all tube based (the first) 'no-inductor'graphic audio equalizer for hi-fi and broadcast use.The unit uses six vacuum tubes in the audio band-pass filter circuits invented and patented by the late Ben H. Tongue.The Nine one-octave bands are individually controlled.(40, 80, 160, 320, 640, 1280, 2560, 5120 and 10,240cps).In 1993 this model caused the Go-Go's cover band "The Swirlies" to issue their album "Blonder Tongue Audio Baton".Manufactured from about late 1958 .
