Vicente Carneiro 49"w x 37"H (1970) Oil painting.Vicente Carneiro was a Brazilian artist who often combined figurative and abstract elements in his work. He attended the School of Fine Arts in Rio de Janeiro at the University of Brazil. He was one of the leading architects and scenographers responsible for the decoration of Rio’s famous Carnival Balls. Carneiro exhibited in the United States, Mexico, and South America in the 60's, 70's and 80's. His work is exhibited in many public and private collections.
