Description

This is a 2010 Carvin DC127T Lefty- with several upgrades. The DC127 typically comes with a maple neck. This guitar is constructed with a flamed maple cap over a solid walnut body and neck. It is built with neck through construction. The finish on this guitar is a had rubbed Tung oil finish. The use of flamed maple and walnut on a DC127 is not common. It is far more common on the DC400 and up models. This beauty weighs in at 8lbs 6.2oz The head stock on this custom built Carvin is called the Carved Top headstock as it is designed for the carved Top models. It has locking Sperzel tuners on it as do most Carvin models. The ebony fingerboard does not have any inlays giving it a very clean and classy look. It does have side dot markers so you can find your way around the smooth 24 fret fingerboard. The body has the edge rounded over on both sides making for a very comfortable fit. The metal pickup covers were also special ordered and show light signs of wear. They are black as well as all the rest of this guitars hardware. The Carvin headstock logo was upgraded to black as well to help tie in the black hardware theme. Electronically this guitar is like any other DC127 in that it has Carvin 22 pole humbuckers under the metal covers and normal switching. This one was ordered with and added phase switch. The electronics cavity is copper lined. The tremolo is a Wilkinson and the trem block is pretty thick. It has 5 springs in the back. This beautiful guitar has a G&G wooden case in the classic tweed finish, sporting the Carvin Logo. There is some slight fret wear in places but no deep divots or anything that would interfere with bending and playing. I didn’t find any dings or worming on the body anywhere. I did find one small indention on the back of the neck (see photo) but nothing that will hinder your playing style at all. This is not only a guitar but a classic Carvin piece of art. If you’re a lefty, you know how hard it is find a quality left handed guitar. This is a very fine guitar with prominent upgrades. Come play it and make it yours!
