Antique Cedar Chest

This stunning antique Cavalier Cedar Chest has been professionally refinished. It is in like new condition. It features handpainting, beautiful decoupage, a blended paint design, gorgeous utilization of antiquing waxes and gold gilding waxes, intact locking mechanism, original Cavalier brass plates on the inner top, beautiful handcarved mouldings, wood turned feet, and a flawless cedar wood lining. It is truly unique and functional, offering storage and an upscale aesthetic. The top has been painted in a Sandstone and then a paint wash done over the top of that to give it a faux wood apoearance. (This piece is solid wood itself. ) The two front panels in between the pillars deature a Damask raised stencil that was dry brushed and lightly gilded in gold wax in a faded fashion to compliment its old world design. The decoupage paper is by Redesign With Prima , called "Love Letters " The paper has been used on the front and the sides of the piece and blended in seamlessly. It depicts beautiful birds on cherry blossom branches, florals, with a striped pattern I'm the background, envelopes, stamps, script, hot air balloons, pocket watches. etc. There are also hand painted florals, vines and other greenery to add more interest and beauty to the chest. This chest has lots of space for storage and is sure to elevate the aesthetic of any space. The neutral toned base color makes it a great addition to most interior designs.
