1978 Yamaha XS 1100E, first year for this incredible machine. The fastest production bike made in 1978 (Suzuki 's "79 chain driven 1100, beat it the next year...but the "shaft drive" on the Yamaha is so much smoother than a chain). Purchased from almost the original owner. Extremely well cared for, all original OEM, in near mint condition, runs out like it should. 32K miles, have original headlight and signals, plus some other parts. This is my 3rd 1100, my first one was identical to this one...I purchased it in 1979..after putting about 18k miles on the first one, it looked nothing like this one. Other than the miles, this bike obviously was not abused by a 20 year old. $4500.00 pretty firm on the price, I don't need to sell it. It looks really pretty in my shop, would also look good in a museum. Bike has always been stored in a garage...NO RUST! It currently has Washington Collector plates, that do not need tags.
