A collection of Late Pleistocene age seashells from approx. 11,000 years ago and collected in California in the 1960s/1970s. This set of ancient seashells includes the following types of marine clam and snail shells: • Saxidomus species clam shell • Macoma species clam shell • Protothaca species clam shell • Veneridae species Dwarf Venus clam shells • Mactridae species clam shell • Myidae softshell clam w/oil seep deposit • Myidae clam shells (Cryptomya californica?) • Callianax biplicata Olive shell • Cerithidae species Horn snail shells • Nassariidae snail shells • Columbellidae Dove snail shells The tiny clam shells and gastropod species shells come in clear octagonal displays.
