Each 1-gallon pot has at least 10 well-rooted stems of the edible Sissoo Spinach (Alternanthera Sissoo). Others sell 2-3 unrooted stem cuttings of Sissoo for $12, but mine are a fraction of that price (3-4 times as much for 30% cheaper). Mine are not only far cheaper, but they're established plants fully rooted in quality soil (not new cuttings in yard dirt). Sissoo has very high levels of Vitamins B2, B6, C, E, plus nutrients Iron, Calcium, Copper, Potassium, Magnesium, Manganese, and Folate. The soft leaves have a mild taste that is great raw in salads, sandwiches, etc. and can also be cooked like other spinaches (sauté, stir-fry, steam, etc.). Sissoo is among the best edible plants for Florida, since it can handle both the extreme heat and the occasional dips into freezing.
