In an effort to rearrange our space, up for sale is a pair of Jens Risom Playboy chairs. We can also open to selling a set of 4. This piece has been refinished and reupholstered using new premium Knoll fabric. 1 chair had some damage in the wood and has undergone repair. These chairs go from $500 each all the way to $1500 online for used ones with old fabric/leather. A standout, statement piece for any space, especially among midcentury modern fans. Currently on sale for $1400 on DWR. Dimensions: 22.5"W x 22"D x 32.25" H Seat height: 17.5" A lot of history behind these Iconic C-140 armchairs. Its design was made famous after appearing in a 1961 edition of Playboy Magazine in an article about Mid-Century Modern Design and more specifically Jens Risom. The Iconic C140 chair was also used in the White House under President Lyndon B. Johnson’s administration and Johnson was photographed sitting in it signing the Civil Rights Act in 1964 and the Highway Beautification Act in 1965.
