JL W7 10” Subwoofer The white stuff is silicone, I re-coned the sub (replace the foam surrounding the speaker) , and it was my first time doing it so I didn’t create a good seal. So Jordan sugar, it would lock in place I used silicone, which is a gel like substance that flexes so it can expand when the magnet causes the speaker to throb back-and-forth . The speaker has never been blown and it sounds just as good as when I bought it if not better. The only thing is that it doesn’t look very pretty. I only used it for about two months , but then I realized it wasn’t enough power for me. I ended up going with the 13.5 inch JlW7 . If you know anything about subwoofers, you know that this is the best one around with over 100 patterns on this specific model . Brand new speaker is $1,100. Not including the box.
