Description
INCLUDES MATCHING UNIVERSAL CREAMER AND SUGAR BOWL!! THERE IS NO OTHER COMPLETE SET IN THIS(OR ANY) CONDITION ANYWHERE A UNIVERSAL Metals Landers Frary & Clark coffee maker that was very popular from WW1 to the early 1940s. The company had just started making the new percolator designs when they stopped production for military use. At the wars end they returned to their household appliances but folded in 1965 after a flood of cheap imports made them non-competitive. These designs were the first that did not boil the water so the coffee tasted much better. This is an E9269 420 watt percolator. It has EVERY part + works 100% as I just ran a pot of water through it. They made these to last forever as almost every part than can break is replaceable. Rather than welding parts together which is faster + far cheaper, the parts were screwed together so they can be replaced. Even the synthetic insulating feet can be replaced. Thats important as this thing gets HOT! All metal parts get hot so the handles, spigot and feet are the same plastic like material. The 1930s vintage cord is great as well. The fabric has some frays but the cord is solid and works perfect. I didnt polish this piece to look new as half the charm is the age. I prefer to sell vintage items AS FOUND as long as they are safe and function and let the buyer decide what to do as some buyers collect, some want decorative items + some will use them. This is an awesome vintage item you can use to make your coffee today. The sound a percolator makes reminds me of grandma's house and is very calming. It will always remind you of breakfast or mornings once you use it. The gurgling and whooshing sound plus the little rattle of the parts inside. Nothing like it Also includes a matching Universal creamer and sugar bowl with the same pattern. The percolator even has the bottom plug which many are missing. That provides access to a fuse.
