This beautiful Italian Neoclassical table features a combination of richly veined marble, gilt bronze (ormolu), and wood veneers. The pedestal support rises from a circular, tiered plinth adorned with scrolling acanthus leaves, dolphin figures, and foliate garlands, all executed in fine gilding. The lower section rests on ornate gilt bronze scroll feet, adding to its monumental presence. The frieze of the table is richly decorated with gilded masks and laurel motifs and the tabletop, features a Pietra Dura Marble with Mother of Pearl, surrounded by a gilded border that complements the base’s ornamentation. Overall, this table is a masterpiece of Italian Empire design, embodying the grandeur and refinement associated with early 19th-century aristocratic interiors.
