Description

Buyer will receive a super rare 3-card lot of soccer ball-shaped advertisement cards from Roos Atkins (Western Wear since 1860). These are from 1974 - the very 1st season that the San Jose Earthquakes came into existence. They were set to play in San Francisco but slow ticket sales allowed them to move to sports starved San Jose which set league attendance records at Spartan Stadium. Buyer will receive the three following cards that are nearly 50 years old: 1. Local Legend Boris Bandov who was born November 23, 1953 in Livno, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He attended Silver Creek High School and San José State University. 2. Mihalj Meszaros (Mike Mesaros) from Yugoslavia. 3. Archie Roboostoff who played on the Pan American and Olympic Teams in 1971-1972 and was an All-American at the University of San Francisco.
