Yamaha Upright Piano – Japanese Made – Excellent Condition

Beautiful Yamaha upright piano, very likely a U1 or U1-spec instrument, made in Japan in the early 1990s. This is a full 88-key keyboard and the piano has been in the same home since the 1990s, carefully maintained and played regularly. It holds its tuning exceptionally well, plays smoothly, and has a clear, balanced, classic Yamaha tone. The interior is clean and solid, with quality brass hardware throughout and a high-gloss black finish that still presents beautifully. There are minor cosmetic scratches on the side panels, noticeable only on close inspection and purely cosmetic. Inside, some felt was professionally replaced on specific notes only: • Middle C (C4) through F♯ above middle C (F♯4) • Highest D (D8) through the top C (C8) All other felt, action, and mechanical components remain original and in excellent condition. This piano has been a joy in our home. I’ve personally enjoyed teaching both my daughter and myself on it for many years. We are only selling because we are transitioning to a compact digital piano to open up space in the room. We will genuinely miss it, but it’s time for the next chapter.
