Description
One-of-a-kind rare antique “desk drawer” time capsule lot — kept together for decades and offered as a single collection exactly as found. This mixed lot includes: • Antique drafting / engineering instruments set in a fitted case (compasses, dividers and related tools; see photos for all pieces and condition). • Handwritten mechanical/engineering calculation notes (pulley/gear ratio “rules” and revolutions/diameter formulas) in period penmanship. • 1891–1892 Evening School student card (School No. 57) with original handwriting: pupil “Jno (John) Toussaint,” class designation and principal signature. • New York City ephemera including an EMANON CLUB envelope (337 West 50th Street, New York). • Additional period papers included as pictured. Authentic antique condition throughout — age toning, folds, edge wear, small tears, surface marks, and patina consistent with age and storage. Please review all photos closely, as they are part of the description. Why this lot is special: It’s rare to find a group like this that clearly lived together — drafting tools + handwritten technical notes + dated 1890s school document + NYC paper ephemera. Perfect for collectors of antique scientific instruments, industrial/engineering history, paper ephemera, genealogy, or décor (studio / library / steampunk / workshop display). Shipping: Items will be carefully packed and protected for safe delivery.
