Description

SUPER EASY CARTRIDGE NO MESSY RIBBONS MADE IN USA TO LAST---KIDS LOVE THESE GREAT GIFT FOR ANY AGE---50+ YRS OLD YOU CANT HACK A TYPEWRITER BEST WAY FOR FILLING OUT FORMS COMES IN A HARD CASE OUTSTANDING CONDITION-- This beauty is so nice it looks like a recent model, if they made them. It does not look like its over half a century old for sure. It only has a few scuffs on a top part from rubbing the case but theyre on the edge. These were the laptops of the last generation as these portables went anywhere there was an outlet. Made in the USA from US steel and comes in a hard plastic case. These early electrics had the metal key basket the same as a manual and only added a motor with a power stroke to "throw" the key instead of finger pressure. Just the lightest touch sends the key flying. These are like manuals, you can ONLY press one key at a time...if you go too fast or accidentally brush another, the keys can get stuck up top....no problem, just a second to undo them but this happens when you type like you are using a modern keyboard. These models use the SIMPLEST ribbon ever made. I have videos of a 3 year old changing ribbons in under 10 seconds. Its THAT fast and EASY. Cartridges are on Amazon or Ebay for $12 to $14 (black) when you buy one and less if you buy a couple. You can get them in many colors as well as erasing white. If you have ever tried changing 2-spool ribbons on an older typewriter before, you will NEVER do it again after you use this. Nice condition machines online are ALWAYS A LOT MORE and shipping on these is not cheap. Buying local means you get to see it and try it BEFORE you buy it, and no shipping charges which are often more than the typewriter itself. GREAT GIFT FOR KIDS! Kids are fascinated by them and LOVE the mechanical sounds and movements. TYPEWRITERS CAN NOT BE HACKED-- There are many divorce cases where 1 person left a surprise on the computer in the house and could see all emails to lawyers. Type a letter and mail it in a US mailbox. It is secure. GREAT FOR FILLING OUT FORMS-- When you need to check boxes or put names and info on lines of a pre-printed form it is either hand write or type WRITERS love a typewriter for the direct connection to the paper. There is no editing, you see everything and even though you can "erase" and retype, you can see where you did that. Theres nothing like the sound of a typewriter clacking away. We used to know when our kids were working on schoolwork, now they sit on a laptop or phone and do anything BUT schoolwork and we cant hear it.
