Description
This is an authentic British (Government of Hong Kong) legal tender currency note. This particular Note is old new stock, uncirculated and is from the 1971 to 1981 era. It's from the (Former) British Commonwealth of Hong Kong and is a "Fractional Currency". Description: The note measures approximately 3 1/2" in length by 1 5/8" in height. Signed by C. P. Haddon-Cave, the 2nd of 5 signers & would have been issued between 1971 & 1981. Obverse: Brown print/text over a light blue underprint. Contains the face of Queen Elizabeth II and indicates it as legal tender from the Government of Hong Kong. Reverse: Uniface (Blank). History: These notes were issued from 1961 through 1995 and would have come w/five different signatures (Financial Secretary). The 5 signatories and issued dates as described below: 1. J.J. Cowperthwaite (Issued 1961 to 1971) 2. C.P Haddon-Cave (Issued 1971 to 1981) 3. Sir J.H Bremridge (Issued 1981 to 1986) 4. Sir Piers Jacob (Issued 1986 to 1992) 5. Sir Hamish Macleod (Issued 1992 to 1995)
