This is a superb mahogany walnut Chippendale side chair with embroidered seat. Dating to the 19th Century, Made by Bekins, in Phoenix, Arizona since 1891. Features four interlacing horizontal splats that comprise the ladder back and finish in well-formed carved ears. Splendid form and crisp carving detail confirm the excellence of conception associated with Chippendale. An embroidered, trapezoidal slip seat is raised on straight molded legs joined by an H-stretcher. Selling the Chair for $100, the Desk for $550, or both for $600! The bottom has 3 large curved front storage drawers with the original hardware. The serpentine curved front and claw and ball feet are authentic. Inside the drop leaf desk front are 3 drawers and multiple cubbies, and mail slots ideal for organizing stationery, bills, or creative tools. This section also locks for extra security.
