I never write reviews, but I had to after our experience with Crown Auto Gallery. My boyfriend and I are from Sacramento, which is 7 hours away from Crown Auto Gallery. My boyfriend had been in contact with them for two weeks, showing interest in a 2014 Honda SI that they had. He was ready to buy, but still wanted to schedule a test driving appointment. The weekend we had gone which was 10/18/25, they had confirmed his appointment the day before. We were 3 hours and 30 minutes away from the dealership since we went to visit his parents in Kern Valley. Everything was confirmed, we just had to make the drive to get everything situated. When we got there, we said we had a test driving appointment for the 2014 Honda SI. Rafael Ontiveros was helping us and said that he couldn't find the car. He had both of the keys on him. He then stated that he didn’t know what was going on and that he had no clue. He said that he recently moved the car, getting it ready to be test driven. When my boyfriend asked what day it was, he claimed yesterday or two days ago. Rafael then stepped inside to talk to his manager, his manager had no idea. He tried contacting their mechanic but no answer. His manager didn’t bother coming outside to talk to us. Rafael was just standing outside doing nothing in his power to figure out what was wrong, he kept saying he was clueless and did not know what was going on staring off into space. We were still so confused because my boyfriend texted them confirming and let them know we were coming from hours away, he wanted to make sure everything was ready. My boyfriend was already pre-approved to buy the car!!! When we were going to leave disappointed, Rafael didn't even try to stop us or try calling his people again. I was the one who had to tell him to try calling again. When I told him that, he went inside and that's when his manager finally came out. They said that they were going to check the cameras. I kid you not, they only took a minute to “watch the footage.” The manager then claimed that their mechanic took the car which I was confused about since they had both of the car’s keys, as well as they had no clue about it. When I told them how do they not know about their cars' whereabouts, he stated in these exact words, “we have a lot of vendors, it's hard to keep track of every car we have,” like how do you not know of your OWN CARS that YOU ARE SELLING!?!? He then said, “our mechanic took it, don’t know when, but he took it for some repairs.” When I told him that this was unprofessional since they were the ones that confirmed the appointment, my boyfriend was preapproved, and that we let them know we were coming from hours away, he stated “we can't do anything about it, our mechanic is fixing it so your lives won't be at risk.” So unprofessional and inconsiderate of our time and gas!

Super friendly service made us feel at home and safe when buying and wanted us to know every single fact about the contract showed us everything we asked without hesitation had everything ready for us before arrival and even went the extra mile to get our payment lowered even as a first time buyer.
