I just bought a car from Smart Motors this weekend.  I worked with Jafar, who was great to work with - didn’t hover over us as we inspected the car, let us take our time to check it out and talk privately.  And when we were ready to talk numbers, we got right to business and the process was super quick.  From stepping into his office to start the purchase to leaving with the keys, it was under 40 minutes.

By the way, no one from the dealership asked me to rate them, and I didn’t get any special deal or incentive to make this rating.  I see lots of 5-star reviews and find out when I go that people are given some incentive to leave a rating - not the case here.  This is my honest opinion motivated by such a good experience I had buying my car.

Wow! When I say Jafar was amazing I mean it! I got the car of my dreams at a price that was unbelievable! The entire experience felt like a dream. Jafar went the distance to make sure I was properly informed and walked me through my entire process. Car shopping has never been so easy but thanks to him I found something perfect! UPDATED REVIEW: Its been exactly 3 months after our purchase, I wanted to update and accurately reflect on our experience post purchase.

While the customer service during the purchase was good, the condition of the vehicle has been disappointing. Since buying the car, we've had to address an unusual number of mechanical issues in a very short period of time.

The repairs and replacements have included:

Oil pan leak (reseal estimate: $1,160)

Passenger-side axle seal ($683)

Valve cover gasket leak ($606)

Damaged spark plugs ($371)

Battery replacement (approximately $100)

New windshield wipers

Catalytic converter
Thankfully, we did not have to cover the cost of the catalytic converter, as the dealership we usually go to for repairs worked something out for us under a warranty, which we appreciated. However, the remaining repairs have added up quickly and were unexpected.

We obviously understand this is a used, and we have purchased many used vehicles in the past. That said, we have never had to put this much post-purchase work into a vehicle so soon after buying.

Overall, while the buying process itself was fine, the condition of the vehicle under the hood did not meet our expectations. We strongly encourage future buyers to obtain an independent inspection and be prepared for potential repair costs shortly after purchase. What we paid was close to $7000 cash and after purchase after repairs $9820.00
