Rare 2008 Fender Hot Rod Deluxe HRDX limited-edition 40-watt tube combo in Competition Orange with bold black racing stripes. Unlike the standard Tolex-covered Hot Rod Deluxe, this model has a birch cabinet finished in high-gloss orange polyurethane, a black grille, white chicken-head knobs, and a special HRDX badge. This edition was factory-equipped with an upgraded 12-inch Celestion Vintage 30 speaker. Its all-tube circuit uses three 12AX7 preamp tubes and two 6L6 power tubes, delivering classic Fender cleans with plenty of volume and headroom. Normal, Drive, and More Drive settings cover everything from clean tones to blues and rock overdrive. Additional features include spring reverb, three-band EQ, presence control, two instrument inputs, an external-speaker connection, and Preamp Out/Power Amp In jacks that can be used as an effects loop. This is a distinctive and difficult-to-find version of one of Fender’s most popular gigging and pedal-platform amplifiers. Please note that the orange finish has visible cracking and some chipping at one upper corner, as shown in the photos. This is cosmetic, but I want to describe it clearly. Otherwise, the amp presents well and the Competition Orange finish looks fantastic. Not looking for trades. North Phoenix (7th Street and Bell Area). Serious reasonable offers considered.
