Description

Vintage butterfly wing tray from Rio de Janeiro Brazil, possibly made as early as the 1940's.The wood has a gorgeous deep glowing patina.  This tray is a fine example of the genre with lots of iridescent wings and precise marquetry inlay.  The photos can't capture the metallic glow of the wings when light hits at the right angle.  Spectacular!  The outside dimensions are 17"W x 9.25"D x 2"H It has age appropriate wear on the bottom and is in very good condition
