Description

Here's an interesting piece of 90s Music history! These cases were originally owned by legendary producer Butch Vig, as these were part of his gear for Garbage's touring in the 90s after the release of their first record. I purchased these from a guy who used to be a roadie for Garbage, and he told me these were referred to as the "footstools" by the band, as they would sit on them like stools while taking a smoke break or eating lunch. Both cases measure 24x16 inches, and are 16 inches high. So they're relatively smaller than most touring cases. I actually used these to hold vinyl records, and they fit in very well in any living room or media room as they have a nice vintage 90s aqua green color. The cases are in pretty good shape overall for their age. There's a good amount of wear to the edges, and occasional dings and scratches, as these cases saw a lot of touring back in the day. There is some rust on the metal edges, but it is pretty minimal. They still hold together very well, and the clasps, hignes, and handles all operate fine. Originally, there was old foam in these cases I removed. I put new black neoprene foam in one of them, and I sanded the other case interior mostly free of the old glue residue, but a little still remains. The old foam and glue are the pink spots around the edges, but you could easily lay new foam over them. There's still some old glue residue behind the neoprene foam I installed in the other case, but it's not visible unless you remove the foam. If you have any questions feel free to message. Thanks for looking!
