Surly Cross Check 56cm Reynolds 631

I acquired this bike in a trade not long ago. I assumed the Reynolds sticker on the frame was just one somebody chose to add for whatever reason...however after some research, it does appear that in 2000, Surly did make this Bean Green Cross Check out of Reynolds 631 tubing. There are also a few other differences with this frame over most other Cross Checks, like the down tube cable guides and rear dropouts. 2000 Surly Cross Check 56cm 9sp Shimano 105 kit with XT rear derailleur and wide range cassette Brand new Panaracer Gravel King tires (still have the little mold nubs on them) Avid Canti Brakes The bike is 18 years old and has been used so there are a few paint chips and previous owners have tried to touch up the paint over the years. Nothing bad and will most likely be covered once you add your Super Grav Frame Bag. She could use a good cleaning but all in all, a perfectly good rider as is or a solid base for your new build. With the Reynolds tubeset and the fatty tires, this is the best riding Cross Check you will ever find. Much nicer than the current model..
