Description
Used. The bicycle is in good condition. The frame has no cracks, no dents and is not bent. The paintjob is all original. Vianelli was a professional cyclist descending from the Brescia province of Italy. His best year came to fruition in 1968, when he won the gold in the Olympic Road Champion in Mexico City. At those same Games, he also won the bronze medal in the 100-kilometer team event together with Giovanni Bramucci, Vittorio Marcelli and Mauro Simonetti. In his retirement, he started manufacturing high-end racing bicycles. Our delightful example comes peppered with delightful details that separate the great makers from the good. Beautiful lug work, seat stay caps and fork crown, with tight clearances everywhere. The running pantographed olympic rings pattern is an homage to his earlier Olympic triumph. This bicycle has been equipped with a range of top-notch Campagnolo parts.
