Miller & Kreisel Satellite 1 & Volkswoofer Set in Oak with Original Stands MK M&K Sound

Purchased new 40 years ago, here is a one owner example of the very rare original Miller and Kreisel factory matched sub and satellite set, bearing sequential serial numbers, complete with their own original (and very hard-to-find) factory stands for the satellites. The S-1's have sophisticated terminals that allow you to wire them in various way to subtly alter their reproduction to emulate American, British, and German speakers. The original factory jumpers are included, and the included owner's manual goes into depth about ways to wire them to change the tweeter brightness and even ways to add resistors to alter their impedence. The original metal stands assure you have the satellites at the correct height, and the speaker wiring can be routed through the rails in the stands to keep it completely out of sight. Reprints of the complete original owner's manuals for both the S-1's and the Volkswoofer will be included. The subwoofer has had the 12 inch driver replaced with a correct (and upgraded) M & K replacement woofer, and the volume control potentiometer on the sub was recently replaced. Everything else in the set is all original. We had everything thoroughly checked by our technician just before offering them for sale, and the system passed with flying colors. The sound is fantastic, rich, detailed, and accurate across the spectrum. Sound is amazing for both music and motion picture soundtracks; once you hear them you will understand why they were such a favorite among recording studio audio engineers. Near mint condition.
