OUTSTANDING CONDITION-- INCLUDES MANUAL (pdf) A powered sub to fill in the very low frequencies that almost all standard speakers struggle to reproduce or just cant do at all. Even speakers with good bass cant compete against a dedicated sub designed to only reproduce the bottom frequencies from about 25hz to 100hz. The main speakers have to reproduce all the way up to 20,000hz and beyond. The amp is a type (Class D) that is ONLY for a subwoofer and that very narrow range. The YST Active Servo creates the cleanest + most powerful output possible. It continually modifies the signal sent to the woofer. Very heavy and dense enclosure with a port that was made to a specific diameter and length. This is a smaller sub but it will surprise you. It cant move the air that a 12 inch sub can but if you are adding this to a medium sized pair of speakers the difference is NIGHT AND DAY. The Classic Bose 201 series 3 speakers I have listed would be perfect for this. Position of a sub is the biggest factor. A corner is best and low bass is nondirectional so your ears will not know where it is. This sub can let you use a small pair of high quality speakers that use VERY LITTLE room. Rated Power is 70W RMS with 130W dynamic power. A steady 70 watts and when the movie or music has a sudden peak or crash of thunder, it can produce 130 clean watts. Produces a lot of clean output in the range from the 30s to 60s hertz. This is perfect for condos or apartments or rooms that are smaller than a large living room. Yamaha desibnbgned this with an awesome built-in diffuser base that radiates the sound out on all 4 sides instead of all into the floor. Check the photo of the underside.
