Description

This is a 20 inch bisque head shoulder plate doll on a gusseted kid leather body made in Germany. The kid body is in good condition with little soiling. There are no splits or leaks in the kid body. The head has a crack in the back that does not appear to affect the face. She has bisque hands that are in their original condition. She has been redressed using vintage/ antique materials. She has her original wig, glass sleep eyes and inset teeth. This was Simon Halbig's effort to emulate high-priced French dolls of the late 1880's while taking advantage of the open mouth style that was just becoming popular. She's a lovely doll looking for a new home!
