Description

This set commemorates the bicentennial of the Lewis and Clark expedition. It includes two uncirculated nickels, one each from the Philadelphia (P) and Denver (D) mints. The nickels feature a new obverse design of Thomas Jefferson and a reverse depicting the expedition reaching the Pacific Ocean, with the inscription "Ocean in view! O! The Joy!". This design is the fourth and final in the Westward Journey series
