BUYER BEWARE!!

I bought a GLC300 at 6:30pm on July 8th and at 7am on July 9th, the check engine light came on and won’t accelerate past 60mph. Only 11 hours after paying cash for the vehicle. I was told to come to the dealership to discuss options.

I worked with Danny, Mo, and Joey who all were extremely unhelpful and KNOWINGLY sold a car with issues. They presented me with the following resolutions:

1. Accept the trade value for the vehicle (about 4k less than I paid)
2. They can facilitate the repairs at their discounted rate, for a new turbo. ($1500 out of pocket)
3. Purchase their warranty for $3,600 dollars.

All I asked is for human decency, I came to this dealership with good faith that they would sell me a reliable car for my family and I, yet was SCAMMED out of 15,000. This is not over yet, I will ensure that my story gets out to anyone that will listen. Please save yourself the heartache and stress and please please please do not willingly buy a car here.

1 Star – Worst Car Buying Experience Ever

As someone in the military, I expected a little more integrity and professionalism from a dealership like Carport VA, but unfortunately, that was not the case. I purchased a 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe and barely made it 15 miles before the engine started knocking and making horrible noises. It was clear that the car had serious issues that were hidden at the time of sale.

I tried to work with them after the fact, hoping they’d do the right thing, but once they had their money, they basically told me it was my problem now. No help, no concern, no accountability.

To make matters worse, the listing on CarGurus showed the car came with a Kicker subwoofer and floor mats—neither of which were in the car when I picked it up. Total bait and switch.

This has been the worst purchase I’ve ever made, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, especially fellow service members. If you value your money and peace of mind, steer clear of Carport VA

Called this dealership twice once on Monday letting them know I would test drive it Wednesday. And again on Wednesday letting them know I’d be there in 2 hours. When we got there the car was in the secondary lot and not cleaned. Car was listed as clean but it was anything but clean. Heavily smoked in and crazy dirty. I was still willing to purchase because things can be cleaned.

When we sat down to negotiate even though the online price had it listed as $6,499 he was telling us it would be $6,702 and was hesitant to lower it to the listed price. Then they wanted to add on $1,300 in “dealership fees” when I told him my offer he didn’t even try to counter offer just said “someone would pay full price for it tomorrow” sure buddy

The car will still be listed tomorrow and next week. Never met a sales person who didn’t want to negotiate or make a sale. I was willing to humor his “dealership fee” but not at $1,300

If someone from this location wants to take things seriously let me know.

They’ll say the car is priced the best in the area but then quickly the $1300 in “fees” make it above anything in the area. Also even if the car was priced the best it’s because this car was HEAVILY smoked in with cigarette burns around the car and permanent yellowing. So yes it should be priced the best.
