Details Close Description This is for a wonderful Lacquered* Vintage French brass "peacock fan" fireplace screen. It looks lovely open and yet still very decorative when sitting closed. This lovely piece has an ornate design and is two sided with a Vintage style Cameo Face mounted on the front with a raised motif. It also is adorned with a Finial/handle in a dragon motif on the top for carrying it. This folding screen can be closed and locked when not in use and or to store. The intricate detail of the filigree cut-out screen creates an amazing reflection and is very light catching. The fan has an Art Deco, Neoclassical, Hollywood Regency feel to the design. The total height with the handle is 27 inches tall and the fan when open has a width of 38 inches and the base is 4.5 inches deep. Most of the ones I sell I have removed the lacquer due to the previous use where the heat has spotted the piece and the only way to clean is first remove the lacquer. This one was in good enough condition and thus I left it alone, so will not change colors. *This one has one small fix to keep the blade in place, note you cant see it as on the side, shown in picture with pen pointed at the area. This item is sure to please and will be loved for many years to come.
