This was so fascinating to the Japanese who love American culture they have purchased Harley Davidson motorcycles and franchise restaurants such as McDonald's. They came to Modesto to make a documentary about the American Graffiti night. I actually was visiting in Modesto in 1985 and witnessed the last American Graffiti night of driving up and down the street which was started in Stockton, but the movie was made in Modesto because the streets were bigger.
