Description
This is a vintage antique coin operated mechanical slot machine made by the Watling mfg. company of Chicago in the early 1900s. It is the Dewey model - named after Admiral George Dewey - a Naval officer who was famous for his decisive victory at the battle of Manila during the Spanish-American war. Watling - and competitor Mills Novelty - each made Dewey slot machines at this time. The Watling is much more scarce and considered to be more highly desired due to its quality castings. This particular machine has its original tin lithograph wheel, original cast iron nickel-plated castings, and even its original back door with lock and key! It was restored 15-20 years ago and just had a full tune up so it’s playing and paying off perfectly. You can bet up to six nickels with every play!
