These were designed for high end sedans as a way to add punch to the bottom end, without having to sacrifice trunk space to a big sub box. Your trunk becomes the box. I bought this one new, and had it mounted in my 1988 Cougar XR7, and what a difference it made. It worked just fine when I removed it to sell the car, and has been sitting in a box for about 10 years. They are very hard to come by, and I would encourage you to Google them to read what people say about them.
