RARE 2004 SCENTED Mattel Summer Cali Girl Doll NRFB (MINT Vintage)

This SCENTED Cali Beach Fun model #8665 SUMMER doll is in MINT condition. In 2004, Mattel introduced this new doll named SUMMER as Barbie's newest friend, and sister to Barbie's new beau Blain (after Barbie's surprising breakup with Ken). From 2006-2008, Mattel drastically altered Summer's look, giving her a lighter complexion and blonde hair. She was phased out in 2009, but briefly reappeared in 2012 for several years before being retired permanently. Because of her short availability and ever-changing looks, this special 2004 scented version would be a valuable addition to any doll collection! Of course, she'd also make a special gift for a lucky child! Below are details of this very unique Summer doll: Summer has a pleasing coconut suntan oil SCENT, suntanned medium complexion, and wears sunglasses atop her long auburn brown hair. She has flat feet to accommodate her surfer girl beach lifestyle, and wears low-ride brown swim shorts and a pretty green top to compliment her striking green eyes. Also included in the doll box are her surfboard, doll stand and a suntan lotion bottle. $50 NOTE: May be able to meet buyer locally in Oceanside/Vista area when I'm out & about.
