This is a new (no box) Manfrotto 290 Light tripod with Manfrotto BeFree Live fluid video head. The fluid video head ensures smooth panning motion when shooting videos. The tripod can be set to 2 leg angles, which gives you more flexibility for shooting height. This is high quality tripod and fluid head made in Italy. The tripod does not come with the quick release plate, and you will need either the standard plate (501PL), or the long plate for heavy long lens (501PLONG or 504PLONG). If you don't already have one of these plates, they can be purchased on eBay for about $10 to $15. The current price for this tripod at Best Buy is $218.99 plus tax. So even if you have to buy a quick release plate, my price is still less than half of retail.
