Works on Android and IPhones. I bought the Gamesir brand new, then bought the extension and then paid a technician to install it. I ended up selling my iPad so I no longer need the controller. It doesn’t need to be charged and also allows for charging while in use. It was plug and play, I didn’t need to download anything to get it working
