Description

I just saw a stack of these in a Houston heights antique shop going for $200! Not with the chip of course l, but still, this plate is a steal! Don’t make me move with it! This stunning antique Japanese Arita Imari charger features an intricate blue-and-white hand-painted landscape design, accented with gilding and raised red chop. This Meiji era porcelain dates back to c1880-c1940. There is an artist signature on the back of the plate. From less than an arms distance away flaws would doubtful be noticed though if inspecting up close there was something that rubbed and scratched against the plate that scratched parallel lines in the paint on the right side. There is a chip on the edge and even though it will never be brand new right out of the kiln, get some milliput on Amazon and you can fill in the chip easy! Paint the chip with gold the old fashioned Japanese way! There’s a hairline crack that runs from the chip 1/3 of the way in. The milliput will take care of that to and strengthen the whole thing. There are pock marks and stilt marks when the piece was made and not flaws. Selling as is and everything is reflected in the price for quick sale. Pick up only near 1-10 and heights in busy lit shopping center with cameras for all our safety. Condition: -Hairline crack on the back across 1/3 of the plate (visible in photos) -Small chip on one edge, repairable (see photos for detail) Despite these flaws, the plate retains its beauty and structural integrity. I’m moving and downsizing my collection before I break all my beloved glass vintage and antiques Especially this one I chipped. I’d hate for it to crumble, it’s made it this far. I’m giving at quick sell prices so please check out my items!i
