The tea kettle lid handle knob has broken off and glued back on. That is the only big thing to note! Amazing… John Stymeist's trendsetting design debuted in 1986. A favorite of retailers and consumers, the line helped establish the new Lindt Stymeist Designs as a dinnerware supplier to be reckoned with. The simple design with unique color combinations set the standard for mix-and-match casual in the 1980s. Achieving the two-tone look wasn't easy. Designer John Stymeist thought his Japanese factory was using a laser to get the clean line between the colors. "We thought it was state-of-the-art technology," he said. Turns out the factory used a razor, not a laser, to achieve the two-tone finish. The pattern has become a prized collectible, especially because it is no longer produced as Lindt Stymeist is no longer producing any dinnerware. Microwave and dishwasher safe, as well as lead and cadmium free.
