Description
It has just the one scratch on the top but otherwise it's in really good condition especially for its age. It's been tested and works fine, none of the buttons stick or have faded writing on them. Other than that scratch it's in really great shape for it's age. I have a few more pieces of stereo equipment I'm listing shortly including a laser disc player, a CD player and a full fisher stereo system with dual tape deck, record player and VHS along with the original stereo cabinet made by Fisher. The vintage stereo market has gone up quite a bit lately but being that this stuff is taking up some room I'm pricing it to sell especially if you want more than one piece so feel free to message any questions. The following was taken from AI as far as a description of the Kenwood which unfortunately does not have a remote with it but there's a couple websites out there that sell aftermarket remotes and even ithe original ones depending on their stock and they're pretty cheap too. . Kenwood AV Receiver - Model: KR-V8050 The Kenwood KR-V8050 is a vintage Audio/Video (AV) Stereo Receiver, known for its robust build and significant power (often 100-120 watts per channel), blending stereo performance with early surround sound capabilities (Pro Logic) in the golden era of audio equipment, featuring multiple inputs like phono, tape, and digital options, making it a sought-after piece for home audio enthusiasts wanting powerful, quality sound from classic designs. Key Features & Characteristics: Power Output: Typically rated around 100-120 watts per channel in stereo mode, with some sources mentioning 5.1 channels at 100W in surround mode. Audio Quality: Praised for its solid performance, often described as having "incredible" sound, far surpassing modern lightweight gear, says a Reddit user. Surround Sound: Includes Dolby Pro Logic decoding for early home theater experiences. Inputs & Outputs: Features numerous connections, including phono (for turntables), tape monitor, auxiliary, and digital inputs, plus pre-outs. Construction: Built during an era when receivers were "statement pieces" with serious specs and high-quality components. Performance: Uses Kenwood's K-STAT amplifier design for quick thermal compensation, ensuring consistent sound quality. What it's Known For: Vintage Appeal: A classic "golden oldie" that offers great value and performance compared to newer, often plastic-heavy receivers, according to this Klipsch forum post. Versatility: Good for both music (stereo) and movies (surround), with features like remote control and original manuals often available.
