Description

Rare and unique vintage Santa figure bottle. Cranberry red thick glass with opening (sized for a cork screw). Measures: 12.5" Tall x 3.5" Wide (Base) x 2.5" Deep Vintage Amberina Belsnickel Santa Claus Christmas 1915 Replica Liquor Bottle 12"This may be original 1915 or a late 90s reproduction. The examples I've seen in both clear, amberina and blue also appear to be 3-seam. I would lean more towards believing a late 1990s reproduction. Tested under blacklight, it does appear to have some sort of very faint amberina glow, but not much outside of camera view. If you were to hold it up directly it would not be significantly noticed. Only under a camera do you see much of anything. According to other sellers the original bottle was for "Superior Fine Liqueur Manhattan Cocktail Extra Quality". There are no identifying marks on this bottle and stands 12 1/4" tall. Some others may have a "M.G. Husted" maker's mark. Those are most likely from the original mold. Here's some information on Monroe Gandy Husted's glass business: https://offerup.com/redirect/?o=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cud2lraXRyZWUuY29tL3dpa2kvSHVzdGVkLTk1 Method of production is blown mold and seamed together.
